Forgettable Aeon Flux

Have you watched the trailer?

Remember the chick in the black outfit that able to call her bullets by whistling to blow up the wall? Well. I went to the cinema last weekend to see the movie.

It's the movie was based from Peter Cheung characters for MTV animated series back in 1990's. The movie isn't that good from what I expected. The story was about a girl named Aeon Flux who joined a rebellion group called “the Monicans” to bring down the Goodchild Regime.

When her sister was killed by the Goodchild force, she became more determined to kill him. Until she met him.. and there's the twist..( where she found out the truth about that happened to their society - The infertility- where the Goodchild started to clone people to ensure life can be recycle while they trying to find the cure...)

you can always read the part where I tell you about the twist by highlight it with ur mouse.

sadly.. the movie wasn't beautifully done by the director.

My advices for those who have thought to go for the movie.

  1. Don't put too high expectation on it. Better, don't put any good expectation at all. That way you'll be better after the movie.

  2. Go for it on Wednesday where you can get discount for your ticket. Or better go for the cheapest cinema you can find.

  3. Bring your better half together rather than go with bunch of friends. At least you can get busy rather than look at your watch all the time.

  4. Don't feel sorry if you can't find time to see the movie.. be grateful.

Personally, I fancy Charlize Theron in this movie (but I rate her stern 2.5 out of 5-too much scene on her bum). But I don't faincy her character as Aeon Flux- I like her more in Monster. Not that she failed to give her best but the director-Karyn Kusama has failed to deliver what people want. :(

Here's the rating.

  1. Fight scenes (1 out 5)

  2. Costume (1.5 out 5) – 1 for black outfit and 0.5 for Theron's hair.

  3. Props (1 out 5)

  4. Story Line (2 out 5)

  5. Special effects (2 out 5)

Aeon Flux managed to collect 7.5 out of 25 =30% which is : FAIL!!!

Basically.. it just sucks!

Here's my top 5 favourite sci-fi movie

  1. Matrix Trilogy

  2. Harry Potter (all series)

  3. X-Men I & II

  4. Blade I, II and III

  5. Spiderman I & II

And here's my bottom 5 sci-fi movies.

  1. Captain Sky and the World of Tomorrow.- wasted!

  2. Fantastic 4 – the same feeling watching Ultraman or Power Rangers every Saturday.

  3. CatWoman- even the superlicious miss berry couldn't help.

  4. Aeon Flux -far down below expectation

  5. Kungfu Hustle -imitation of matrix?
